The third edition of the San Silvestre run will take place in Rincón de la Victoria tomorrow from 11am. According to the sports councillor, Lydia Montes, it will again be a social event as the organisation will not be charging for registration but instead it will ask participants to bring along a kilo of non-perishable food or festive treats.
There will be two different race distances; one for adults from the age of 14 which will be 5km long, and one for children up to the age of 13 which will be 800 metres long. There will be prizes for the three best fancy dress costumes and also for the best group fancy dress.
The race will start from the tourist office and all participants must be dressed up. Before the start there will be entertainment along the promenade. Registration will take place along the promenade before the event or you can register via www.triatlonmalaga.es and in Rincón de la Victoria’s Triaworld shop.
